I’ve spent my career helping emerging-technology companies, many venture- or institutionally backed, turn complex ideas into brands the market could understand, trust and remember.

The work has spanned data infrastructure, crypto, cloud, cybersecurity, SaaS, creator technology and now AI. The categories have changed, but the job has stayed remarkably consistent: build authority, create demand and put a brand on the map before the rest of the market fully understands what it’s looking at. RADAR, the editorial hub we built at RAD Intel, grew out of that same instinct.

For the better part of the last year, I’ve spent almost every day answering some version of the same question: How are you doing all of this?

We’re standing up four brands at once. A focused marketing team helped support a $62.5 million raise through our Reg A+ offering. At the same time, we’re integrating our first acquisition and building the marketing infrastructure for a growing portfolio.

Our platform and the people we’ve built around it make that possible.

Our AI-driven platform helps us understand audiences, pressure-test ideas, make faster decisions and know where to focus before we commit time or money. We use it to build campaigns, shape content, launch brands and make marketing decisions across RAD Intel.

We’ve deliberately built a Bionic Team that combines seasoned marketing, communications and creative leaders with younger, aggressive AI adopters who constantly test what the technology can do. Experience brings judgment, taste and the ability to recognize when an idea will travel. AI expands how quickly we can research, test and learn.

That work goes far beyond the marketing department. Everyone at RAD Intel is focused on the same challenge from a different angle. We’re making the technology easier to use, the decisions better informed and the work more creative. Our product, engineering, data, marketing, creative and portfolio teams are all contributing to that goal.

Why RADAR Now

Brands, agency owners, account leads and marketing teams are being told every day that AI is going to change their jobs. Most of them have heard enough predictions. They need to see how it works inside a real marketing process.

They want to know where AI improves a decision, what should stay human and how intelligence can help before they commit budget, creative resources or people to an idea. That’s what RADAR is here to show.

This is our place to open up the work and share the receipts, if you will. We’ll show how we’re using intelligence across campaigns, content, product launches, portfolio integrations and the work of building brands in categories that are still taking shape.

Decision Intelligence in Practice

There’s already plenty of commentary about what AI might eventually do. RADAR will focus on how it’s being used inside the marketing process today.

That means using intelligence to shape the audience you pursue, the story you tell, the creators you choose, the content you make and the investments you prioritize. It also means being willing to change a decision when the evidence points somewhere better.

For us, that’s Decision Intelligence. AI helps experienced people see more, test faster and make choices with stronger evidence. The marketer still brings the judgment, creativity and accountability.

We’ve used this model while raising capital, standing up brands and integrating companies into the RAD Intel portfolio. Each company applies the intelligence differently. Each company also adds to what the portfolio learns.

RADAR gives us a place to share those lessons, pressure-test the ideas and show how the platform works in practice.

Inside RADAR

Some stories will come directly from the work happening across RAD Intel and our portfolio companies. Others will begin with something happening in marketing, AI, the creator economy or culture. We’ll use the platform to look beneath the headline, understand the opportunity and show marketers where they can move.

We’ll share the decisions that worked, what we’re testing and where the hype falls apart in practice. We’ll also talk with marketers, founders, agency leaders and creators who are figuring this out alongside us.

Through Portfolio Watch, we’ll give readers a closer view of the companies we’re building, acquiring and growing. We’ll go beyond announcing what happened to explain the decision, the opportunity and what the experience is teaching us.

RADAR is for people trying to put AI to work. If you run a brand, lead an agency, manage an account or own a marketing team, I want this to help you make better decisions and do more creative work.

That’s what Human + AI looks like when it becomes a real way of working. Each month, we’ll show the work, share the proof and bring you AI marketing news you can actually use.
