Claude Design can turn a written brief into a branded landing page, presentation, interactive prototype, or microsite inside Claude. For marketing teams, that means campaign ideas can become something people can review and test much faster.
Anthropic launched Claude Design on April 17, 2026, and described it as beta in documentation updated June 30. It is available to Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers on the web and Claude desktop.
How Claude Design Works
The workspace combines chat with a visual canvas. Describe the audience, content, layout, and purpose and Claude builds a first version. You can revise it through chat, comment on elements, or move and resize items directly.
It can create landing pages, social assets, presentations, product mockups, dashboards, and interactive prototypes. It can also produce several directions from one brief, which is useful during early campaign discussions.
The Most Important Update
Teams can now give Claude Design their actual design system.
Claude can read a component library or codebase, plus brand documents, logos, fonts, and color palettes. It turns those materials into a reusable system for approved colors, typography, buttons, cards, spacing, and page structures.
Once published, new projects start with the company's visual standards. Teams no longer need to upload the same brand book for every project.
For marketers, this is the key update. A rough campaign concept can begin with the correct fonts, colors, components, and layouts. Anthropic recommends that experienced brand and product designers configure and review the system before wider use.
From Design to Finished Work
Projects can be exported as PDF, PowerPoint, standalone HTML, or a ZIP file. Designs can also move into Canva, Adobe, Miro, Replit, Vercel, and Wix.
Claude Design also connects with Claude Code for product work. The /design-sync command pulls in an existing component library. An approved prototype can then move to implementation using the same components.
What to Know Before Using It
It shares a usage allowance with Claude chat, Claude Code, and Cowork. Large codebases and repeated revisions use more of that allowance.
The beta still has limits. Anthropic lists disappearing inline comments, lag with large repositories, and unreliable simultaneous editing.
Test it on one real project. Upload a complete brand system, choose an upcoming landing page or sales deck, and request three directions. Track time to the first reviewable version and the number of correction rounds. That will show where it fits in your team.
